It is likely that you set up those additional associations in PM's Launching Preferences.

Look for the explanation for the 'Set...' button that appears just after the "Assign Specific Application to File Type" text.

thank you. those were set for CS6, then CC14, and the last one is CC15. I was trying to delete the first 2 as they do not work any more. what i ended up doing is exporting all preferences, uninstall PM and re install again, imported all preferences minus the launching preferences, then manually set the default editing application. i thought there might be an easier way to do that
thanks for all of your help

There was an easier way, you could just have removed the old versions from the list of editors, but your way sure worked too  ;D

When you click on one of the items, the path is shown below the list box (right above the Choose... button) so if you notice that the path is to an older version of Photoshop, click the Choose... button and find and choose the new Photoshop version.

Belal,

That list of applications is drawn from the settings described above.  Did you click on each and every item in the list to verify the paths?

Did you correct them when you found the erroneous ones?

The only one that is showing a path is (.JPG : JPEG : Photoshop.exe) for everything else it says (Path: Using default editor). It is not a huge deal but I thought there is a way to remove the extra .exe since it is not working.
Thanks
for your help

Did you also change your default editor selection to point to your new Photoshop instead of your old one?
