iptc info not transferring into photoshop

help! dunno what i've done, but the iptc information in photomechanic does not transfer into photoshop when i open pictures. i am using a mac with mechanic 5 and photoshop cs5 extended. any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Please provide a sample image that exhibits this problem.  If it is small enough, you can post it here.  If it is a large file > 8MB then you'll have to upload it somewhere and give me a link to it.  I need a sample file in order to see what metadata it contains.
