Spotlight Search Bar

The search bar is awesome!
Why does the search bar only appear on my G5 tower PM windows but not on my 12" Powerbook Laptop?
The screen is obviously bigger on the tower...
PM 443 on both.
 OS X 10.4.2 on both

Try customizing the toolbar on your Laptop.  Control-click on a blank area of the toolbar and choose Customize Toolbar.
