I have an assignment that requires me to do the following

1 Ingest into PM and apply a generic Stationery Pad.
2 Select "keepers"  in PM.
3 Import keepers into Lightroom, straighten, adjust, crop etc
4 Rename in PM utilizing code replacement and the ability to recall the last number used

My query is as follows. Once I have renamed the image in PM, Lightroom tells me it cannot locate that image.
Is it possible for PM to update the file name in Lightroom to the new name ??

Thanks

It sounds like Lightroom is unaware that the images have been renamed and when you try to do an operation with that image, Lightroom can't find the file.  Try re-importing the images back into Lightroom.

You have to either:
1. Rename before importing into Lightroom.(recommended)
2. OR rename from within Lightroom.

Marc

Or (assuming you have Lightroom save its changes directly to the .xmp sidecar files and not only maintain them in its internal database): synchronise the folder with the images in Lightroom. This will have Lightroom pick up on all your changes (be it file changes or meta data changes).

Marc suggestion to rename before importing into Lightroom seems to be the most workable solution at this stage.
