Updating software
« on: March 19, 2016, 10:31:31 AM »
Is it possible to change the way new versions are updated so that they're more like other software? I appreciate the regular upgrades, but it's a bit annoying to get a brand new copy and have to delete the old version and relink my shortcuts. It's probably hard to do, but updating the program I have installed would be more convenient than getting a new copy and deleting the old one.

What system are you on? On the Mac, you just replace the old version with the new, no need to relink anything...

Same in Windows (7,8,10) all you do is run the install and it asks if you wish to repair/upgrade, select and let it do its stuff. New version with all old preferences, shorcuts etc.
