Facebook not showing captions etc

Is there any reason Facebook isn't showing captions etc? I'm exporting an images from Lightroom. I've checked the image in PM and the caption is in the file.

Facebook strips metadata on purpose.

Google "facebook strips metadata" and you'll see all kinds of people talking about this problem.

The funny thing is a tog I know is also using Photo Mechanic and Lightroom and his images upload with his captions. Mmmmmm

Facebook does keep captions and descriptions for some images, but I can't figure out why either.  Photos in an album seem to have captions while straight posts do not.

I have an answer!!

If you upload an image to a timeline, no data is uploaded. If you upload to an album, captiones are included.

Please complain to Facebook.  Photo Mechanic does not remove any of your data.
