FTP upload problem
« on: June 30, 2016, 05:48:32 PM »
Hi,

Never had this issue before but now it still happens every time with a specific client:
" error: Failed to create directory on server. 550 "X subject": No such file or directory "
I think it's not the problem of the FTP-server of that specific client itself because they already made 2 accounts.

When using another account of another client I don't have any problems.

Of what problem do you think? What can I do to fix it?

Thanks in advance,
Tomas

From the error message you get it seems there is a problem creating a new directory on the server. This could be a rights issue, or simply that you are trying to create a directory in a location that does not exist. Where does "X subject" come from? Did you specify that yourself? If so, try a name without a space.

Hi,

"X subject" is what I fill in in the headline in the IPTC stationery path (this is always a small description, a few words).
My client tested out their connection etc and they say there isn't any problem by their side.
Don't know what to do a this moment

Thanks in advance,
Tomas

Tomas,

Can you try the following with a regular FTP client using the account you used in PM.
1. Connect to the server using the same user id and password as within PM.
2. Create the exact same directory you try to create with PM.

Also, can you post a screenshot of the complete PM ftp upload dialogue as well as the connection settings used?
