Importing multiple cards
« on: July 05, 2016, 10:38:00 AM »
Hi! I am still learning PhotoMechanic and cannot figure out how to do something. Is there a way when importing multiple cards at once that were shot on different cameras at the same time, to order them in the time they were taken so the image numbers are sequential are in order as well based on the time taken? I hope this makes sense.

When your contact sheets open, change the sort popup menu in the toolbar from "Filename" to "Capture Time".  This will sort the images in the order they were taken.  If you then want them to be numbered sequentially, you can select all of the images and Rename them.  Once they're renamed using a sequence, sorting by Filename will also show them in the order they were taken.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you! So I assume I import them first and then do the sorting and renaming. I appreciate your help!

Your cameras have to have times synced too.
