So, was this an issue with my Mac, Windows Server, or the communication between the two? Or something else.

The issue was in stripping ACLs on the file being deleted and then having inherited ACLs becoming active that deny delete.  Then when PM would try to delete the file it would fail as would any other program when faced with a deny on 'delete'.

Curious what made my situation so unique that this issue was discovered? Seems that my situation must be somewhat odd or you would have discovered this some time ago.

Change was made in a recent build and I suppose most people don't work with servers that inherit ACLs.
