What am I seeing in the PM histogram?
« on: March 06, 2007, 11:17:47 AM »
I just noticed a change in the histogram on my images after converting them to DNG using the DNG Converter (not ACR). Is this because I am viewing a "bad" conversion of the JPEG for the DNG preview or is the RAW file actually damaged? I'm concerned about this, since I've been converting my archives to DNG and I want to make sure there is no damage to the RAW data.
So, does the historgram in PM show me the preview JPEG's histogram or is it the histogram of the actual RAW file data?
Thanks,

It shows the histogram of the embedded JPEG.
