Updating my images in Lightroom 5
« on: March 03, 2017, 02:37:34 AM »
Hello there
I have some images all ready imported into Lightroom 5 and if i open them up in PM 5 and add some label Colours and  caption and keywords, how do i see the changes in Lightroom please?

I have followed you videos on this and set up to Import the normal way.

I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards
Brian

If the images are already in Lr5 then you need to force Lr to read the metadata from the files themselves.

Select your files.  Then from the Lightroom Metadata menu, select Read Metadata from Files.

That should force Lr to update its catalog with the updated metadata.

HTH,

Do the names of the Color Classes in PM match exactly (including case) the Labels you're using in Lr?  They must match exactly.

PM's tag is not observed by Lr.  And the 'flag' that Lr offers is never written to the image metadata.  It is only ever written to its database.  So there is no way to get PM's tag to show up as a flag in Lr.
