There are shortcuts already:

--- Quote ---Highlights & Shadows
Use these controls to highlight areas on the image in the Preview window where the highlights or shadows have no detail. It is off by default. You can also turn these on and off using the 'N' (shadows) and 'B' (highlights) keyboard shortcuts.

Thanks. Yes, you can look at highlights and shadows separately. But it takes 4 keystrokes / image (instead of up to 2 with a combined highlight/shadow clipping warning shortcut).
PS: it would be good to have the shortcuts shown in the interface (at least optionally), rather than having to go to the wiki to discover them.

We don't have the ability to show both clipped highlights and lost shadow detail simultaneously.
I agree that the UI could better self-documenting.

Thanks. It would be useful to see both, just as it is in Lightroom.
