Is it still not possible to let PM view the Hasselblad X1D raw files?

If these files do not have an embedded preview, then the answer will be no.

If you're on a Mac, you might be able to get a preview if you enable Raw rendering using Apple's ImageIO, but then still only if you camera is supported by Apple. Plus everything will slow down due to the image rendering.

Another solution would be to convert your images to DNG (embed a full size preview when creating the DNG, of course).
