Vasha,

I figured out my problem - it is not the shift key but the control key that combines with the numeric key to change color class (I should have read deeper into the forums, sorry!).

I do hope we will be able to choose what single numeric keys do (ie: to choose to use them as before instead of using the single key for star-based workflow) - I have been using the color codes for years and really don't want to add a layer of keyboard complexity to use my normal workflow.

I'm working on a solution.

Drag and drop should not cause an image to come up in the Preview window.  It should however, cause the folder containing the images to open and the images should become selected.

IMHO, it would be very valuable to automatically also load the image in the Preview window.  In many cases, this would be the expected operation - for example, if you drag and drop the Windows XP thumbnail onto PM, you are "usually" expecting to use the Preview feature since you already see the thumbs.  In addition, if user's data base programme (maybe from C++ or VB) wishes to invoke PM with a file name, the "usually" expected result would be to see the preview image.

In other cases, the operation desired is to view the Contact Sheet.

Maybe a user preference could be made to show or not show the preview.  Alternatively, a command line option could be used to invoke the desired operation.

I'll take this under consideration, but now we're getting into feature requests.  Please, let's just work on getting the application done with what we have.

Hi Kirk
The browser no longer jumps the right side of the screen with dual monitors.  If you fixed it, many thanks, if not then must have been the hand of God.

I made no changes in this regard.  We could not duplicate your report so we couldn't fix anything.

Hi Kirk,

I found a bug.

When I am exporting using the PM Default HTML Template and I select all my colors for background, etc, save it, then go back into it, they are changed.

To duplicate the problem:

Select some images
Go to export them as an HTML page
Select "Background Color" and go to "Red/Green/Blue" and type in 61/61/61.
Save it as "Web"
Close it and go back into it and load "Web"
Every time I do it, they default back to "41/41/41".

Any ideas?

Mac OS

Also, for the standard PM html export, in the new version (4.5), if it is on the 1st page, it doesn't show the "Previous" button. In the last version, it did, you just couldn't click it .

Can this be fixed? It is a very important part of my workflow ...

Thanks

Hi Kirk,

4.5b03, Mac OS 10.4.9:
I noticed that in preview mode below the scrolling thumbnails there are some fields (dark grey) that are cut off. I guess it is color class/star rating.
My window is maximized to full screen (1280x1024).
I'm not sure if this is a bug or a wrong setting.

Keep up the good work,
HM

Resize the splitter between the Previews and the thumbnails.

Either your instructions are not clear enough and I'm not following them well enough, or???

Can you post some screen shots?

Sorry it's been a while. Here we are:

Exporting some images using the standard template:

Clicking on the "Background Color" icon and setting all RGB values to 61-61-61 and pressing Enter:

Save the settings as "web":

Later on, go to open up "web":

And the values aren't the same anymore, they have resorted to their default, 44-44-44 values instead of the 61-61-61 that I set and saved

Using: Windows Xp, (SP 2, 2gb memory, 2 hard disks, two monitors).

The beta edition is file PMSetup4.5b0331.exe.  The "about" information is version 4.5.

If I drag and drop a thumbnail or a file name onto the PM beta icon, the image dropped is not positioned nor selected in the contact sheet.
