New update knocks out PM5
« on: October 06, 2017, 12:29:35 PM »
Just updated this evening and the installation which is usually smooth had a glitch. System said I could not have access. Tried ignore button and it seemed to install but I can no longer access PM5 at all.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no luck.

See screenshot for error message.

Hello,

Try restarting your computer then right-click on PM5SetupRxxxxx.exe and choose Run As Administrator.

Hi Jerry

Thanks for the response but it did not work. I eventually had to uninstall the new update and re install an order version.

I now have Build 18729 (FC 44301) installed and it appears to be working ok. The update that did not work is R 18980.  I will eventually receive a message to say that there is a free update which I am reluctant ti install.

Still having problems with this update which still does not work.

I tried to open contact sheet but get the following error message, see screen shot. I then have to use Ctrl Alt Del to shut down PM5

It appears as though you're trying to open Photo Mechanic's Disk Cache directory? What happens when drop a folder of images, from another location, onto the Photo Mechanic shortcut located on the Desktop?
