Variables applying themselves in the IPTC Stationary Pad.
« on: November 30, 2017, 11:20:40 AM »
I have the following code in my Description panel, which works perfectly.

\{featuredorgcode}\ during the {event} held at {location} in {city} in the {state} of {country} on \{iptcday0}\ {iptcmonthname}{iptcyear4}

However, if I change the default replacement text to read 'An athlete', the code auto changes to the below.

\{featuredorgcode}An Athlete{iptcday0}\ {iptcmonthname}{iptcyear4}.

There are two variables enclosed with \\. Removing either of them solves the problem.

As background to what I am trying to achieve

I'm putting the bib number into the Org.code field as a number. I am going to use this number when I save the images to modify the file name. It also saves me typing the double \\ on either side of the number.

I'm using the persons shown field with \{featuredorgcode}\ to convert the bib number to a name, and again in the Description to get the name in there.

I'd really appreciate your help.

Please try this build. It fixes this issue of evaluating Code Replacements in the IPTC Stationery Pad.

But you broke it in the best way possible, by finding a bug that got squashed!
