Uploading woes
« on: February 20, 2018, 09:57:25 AM »
Cannot upload via FTP or SFTP.

I get error on my Mac Book Pro: _47A9914.JPG [error: ./ruby/lib/ruby/1.8/net/ssh/transport/algorithms.rb:299:in `negotiate': could not settle on encryption_client algorithm]

I get this one on my Mac Pro:
{error: Could not make connection to server}

PM log attached

Thank you

It looks like the destination server is using a more recent encryption algorithm than what Photo Mechanic 5 has to offer. Unfortunately, it is not at all trivial to update PM5's uploader sources to use more modern encryption algorithms, so I don't have a solution for you in PM at this time.

{error: Could not make connection to server}

I don't know the exact cause of this error. It could be a bad connection setting, network issue, DNS lookup problem, etc. If the destination server is the same as the first error, you will most likely also run into the encryption algorithm problem once the connection issue has been resolved.

Just tried sending to another host.

"Failed all attempts to rename file for dropbox transfer. 550 Access is denied."

I am no stranger to FTP and have checked and double checked my host settings.
