PM does not detect my camera; USB function not working
« on: July 01, 2018, 02:30:01 PM »

Photo mechanic does not detect a Fuji X-E2 connected by USB. It cannot be used to download photos from a camera.

It does recognize an SD card from this camera as a disk.
It does not matter if the camera or SD card are connected before or after PM is started.

macOS standard application imagecapture works fine in all cases..

Photo Mechanic Version 5.0, build 19631 (bf87516)
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013)
macOS 10.13.5 (17F77)

If your camera can be put into "disk mode" then PM should be able to access the card within it.  Otherwise, a dedicated card reader is necessary and is preferred since they're usually much faster than cameras (I say usually because there may be a camera out there that transfers data faster than a quality card reader but I haven't seen one yet.)
