save an arrangement
« on: October 18, 2018, 02:52:54 AM »
Hello
In a contact sheet (all pictures from one folder)  I tag and arrange, then I save and obtain a text file with names of pictures in a correct arrangement.

PM closed and reopened , how can find my contact sheet ?

Thanks

How did you open the folder in the first place?  Open it that same way again.

I presume you want to open the contact sheet with the same arrangement you did last time, right? Just select Sort by Arrangement again. IIRC PM saves the arrangements in a small file in the folder, so it does not disappear. If you would like to make it more permanent (for sending to a client, for example), you should rename the files after the arrangement in some sequence using the powerful rename function (usually, when sending the files to the client, I do append the original filename or image number to the new sequential filename, easy to do with variables, to help me with locating the original file if ever the need arises)

Thanks Frantisek
This morning I have my sort with argument, fine !
I copy and  in another folder rename pictures like {seqn}-{filename}
OK for me

My problem is : we are four friends, we have to choice the better choice in sorting a lot of pictures for a competition. I must retain friends choices. Have you an idea ?

Couldn't you each put a note in one or more of the unused IPTC fields?
