Whilst using V6 of PM I noticed that some folders in the navigator pane are blue, others are grey. It doesn't correlate with whether there are any images in that directory or not, or whether there are directories below. Does this mean anything?

Thanks

David

Not that I know of.  I ask the system for the folder icon at a given path and I draw what it gives me.  Maybe there are user permissions differences?

You could try comparing two of them and do a "Get Info" on each in the Finder.

There is no difference in the get info panels or permissions

OK.  Then I have no idea why they would be gray.

As a related note: for me the folders at top-level in the navigator are blue, but all of them – that have no custom icons set – below that as well as those in the favorites panel are grey. So perhaps the default icon you receive from the OS is the wrong one?

Could be.  I'll have to investigate.

It appears to be the age of the folders, any old ones before a certain date (not known) are blue. New ones just created in PM6 or Finder are grey in PM6 but blue in finder.

...also noticed that earlier last week. In addition to that some of the grey folders (initially all) do not have the little triangle to expand, even though they contain additional folders. Right clicking on them>refresh will bring that triangle back (run under OS X 10.12.6, no custom labels etc)
