could not delete a folder

In the catalog, there was a folder not in a proper place. I attemped to delete it and nothing happened. It was folder "05a'

Nothing happened in what regard?  What wasn't deleted?

If memory serve me correct, I right clicked and highlighted delete yet the folder did nit delete.
