IPTC screen starting field
« on: May 08, 2019, 08:44:34 AM »
Maybe there is a place in the settings to do this already??

When working on the IPTC edit window... once I have populated the fields and hit Save/next. I have to click on a field to start editing data for the next photo. Is there a way to have PM6 put the cursor in the Caption field so that I can hit save/next and just start typing without having to mouse to the field and select it?

Thanks

Are you using a keyboard shortcut to do the save/next or are you clicking on the button with your mouse?

I expect that if you use the keyboard shortcut, the cursor will stay put.  Clicking on buttons on the Windows platform puts keyboard focus on the button you clicked on.

Eric,

Yes.  Put your mouse cursor over the various buttons and don't move for a moment.  A tooltip will appear that shows you the keyboard equivalents.

I just tested the "Ctrl+n" equivalent for "Save & >" and it saved the metadata change, advanced to the next image, and the cursor stayed in the Caption field.  I also tested the same with the Headline field and it also kept the cursor there.
