Duplicate action to Collections
« on: May 22, 2019, 06:15:10 AM »
Using Mac OS 10.14.4 with the latest PM Plus Beta.

I've created a few collections with no problems, but now PM is acting odd.

I filter images by keyword and the result is 5 images. I select all, and the click in Add to Collection. PM adds each image twice to the collection. If I remove one or more images from the collection, PM deletes both copies.

I was able to create "good" collections with this beta, but now it is acting "bad".

Do you have more than one Catalog active for "Add/Modify"?

That may have been the case. I did just try it with only one catalog Add/Modify checked, and it worked correctly.

Whey would the Catalog Add/Modify selection impact what you put in a Collection?

PM doth work in mysterious ways!

Because you were making changes to two catalogs.  You created Collections for all catalogs that were active at the time, and when you add or remove from Collections, you're adding/removing from all open catalogs that are set to be modified.

This is by design and is logical to us.  If you have a suggestion on how this should be changed, we're happy to hear it.

No need to change anything. I just need to better understand the interplay between collections and catalogs.

Me too. And also understand why and when to have several catalogues...
