What does Publish do?

Catalog > Manage Catalogs > Publish

Does anybody know what this function does?

Carl,

It's a feature that should have been removed for now.  We'll remove it in the next build.  When it is ready for testing we'll put it back in.

Basically it allows you to share your catalog with other users across the internet.

Well, that reminds me of a question...
I have two computers in two differente locations. I have, for now, created two different catalogs, one in each computer, both directed to photos located on a external hd that is always in my bag.
Is it possible to have only one catalog, without the previews of course, in iCloud?

Photo Mechanic Plus' Catalog system does not utilize iCloud or any other cloud-based file sharing services.

They would all be far too slow to be usable.
