Info Text panel update

(1/2) > >>

Odd Skjaeveland:
Windows 10, PM6+ beta build 3677, the Browser on one monitor, the Viewer on a second monitor.

In case it has not been reported already: The Info Text panel in Viewer is not always updated when the viewer image changes.
Try Organizer->EXIF->Model and select one of the camera models listed, or try Organizer->EXIF->Lens and select one of the lenses.

Wait for PM+ to present the content in the Browse tab. Select double click a thumbnail to bring it up in the viewer and observe the content in the Info Text panel.

Now select a different Model (or Lens) listed in the Organizer and wait for PM to update the thumbnails in the browser and the image in preview in the Viewer change to the first image in the Browser contact sheet. The content in the Info Text panel does not change in my instance of PM6+. Now select (single click) on the first thumbnail. The Info Text does not change. Double click the first thumbnail, or select (single click) on the second, third,... thumbnail to observe the Info Text update.

Thanks for the bug report, Odd.

Hayo Baan:
Hi Kirk,

Maybe related: when you paste an IPTC snapshot (i.e. you first take a snapshot and then paste it), the image data is not updated (e.g. the caption label is not updated).
Applying e.g. a rating to the image, does show the updated info.

Hmm, maybe this is also the same issue where people mention they have to apply the metadata twice before the update shows?

Hmm.  Could be.  Warrants further investigation.
