Reveal in Navigator
« on: October 27, 2019, 10:09:48 PM »
After I run a query and find a shot I'm looking for I would really like the ability to right click and see an option for "Reveal in Navigator." That way I could jump back to a contact sheet with the usual folder structure I am used to and start working with the located shot.

Thanks Dub!

Looks like I'm in good company asking for that one. I'll give the "drag to the dock" trick a try.

Does not work in Windows, so I would also like to add my vote for this option.

This is a great idea. The workaround is not exactly obvious, most people won't know about it. A contextual menu item is the way to go, either "Reveal In Navigator" or "Reveal Folder" or something like that.

As the author of the other post said: "The rationale here is that photographers often search for an image by its metadata when their actual final destination is the shoot that image came from." Exactly right. 98% of the time when I do a search, the goal is actually to find and open a folder, not a specific image. Having a contextual menu item to open that folder would be very helpful.
