Geotagging with GPX files
« on: November 07, 2019, 07:39:22 AM »
Following an update to Mac OS Catalina, I can no longer geotag images using GPX files. I get the following error message:

“GPSBabelFE” cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified.

Is the above referenced file associated with Photo Mechanic?

Yes.  It performs file conversions for Photo Mechanic.

Thanks, Kirk. Any idea what setting needs to be changed on a Mac to allow PM to use it as needed?

Find your installed GPSBabelFE application and right-click on it.  Choose Open from the contextual menu.  When the warning dialog appears, click the "Open" button.

It will open now.  Quit it.

Photo Mechanic should also now be able to open it.

HTH,
