On macOS, Photo Mechanic 6 requires Mac OS X 10.10 or higher  If you are using a Mac with macOS 10.9.x or older, you will need to upgrade to macOS 10.10 or higher to use Photo Mechanic 6.

On Windows, Photo Mechanic 6, requires a 64-bit edition of Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10.  If you are using Windows Vista, XP, NT, 2000, ME, 98 or 95, you will need to upgrade to Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10 in order to use Photo Mechanic 6.

Version 6.0 Build 3954

macOS:
  ● Fixed: Opening preferences in any sort order other than "Capture Time” resets order to "Capture Time".
  ● Fixed: 5-star rating filter numbers and stars too dark.
  ● Fixed: Preview image position shift when enabling zoom.
  ● Fixed: Preview window in either 2 up mode with Info panels hidden, is not updating active Preview image.
  ● Fixed: ExFAT drives do not display correct name of new folder after collapsing and re-expanding parent folder.
  ● Added: On macOS Catalina, Disc Burning is not working correctly and an exception handler has been put in place to keep Photo Mechanic from crashing. If Apple fixes the Disc Burning features of macOS Catalina then this feature should start working again.

Windows:
  ● Fixed: Added error handling for the Send Photos via Email feature (SMTP).

Both:
  ● Fixed: Inconsistent sorting/filtering.
  ● Fixed: Failure to render thumbnail in Contact Sheet on incomplete file.
  ● Fixed: Blank thumbnails after Ingest.
  ● Fixed: Render Cache no longer permanently blacklists RAW files by make/model when they fail to render via the Adobe DNG Converter. If the DNG Converter is updated to a newer version then the blacklist is cleared.
  ● Added: PM6 now disallows users from selecting Lightroom as a default image editor and provides a message with an alternate method that works correctly.
