Problem - mailing photos PM6 WIN
« on: December 16, 2019, 04:36:41 PM »
Hi Camera Bits,

I have a problem mailing photos from PM6 with my new computer and get no connection to the mail-server.
PM5 + Thunderbird 32 bit on my laptop works for years without any problems.
I tried with two different mail-accounts (+ different settings in the mail-dialog + different jpg-files) but get the following error code:
"SSL_connect returned=1 errno=0 state=SSLv2/v3 read server hello A: unknown protocol"

My System:
WIN 10 Pro x64 (1909), AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-Core, 64 GB RAM
Photo Mechanic version 6.0.0.0 build 3954 (158b808)
Mail Client: Thunderbird 68.3.0 (64-Bit)

The last entries in the "dyn.log":

Error code:  - SSL_connect returned=1 errno=0 state=SSLv2/v3 read server hello A: unknown protocol
[2019-12-17 00:51:31.138 Tue] [05268:1bfe3ec:9f1a668] [ERR!] DYN: Module.rescue_with_msgbox_ok: There was an error sending the email. Possible causes include:
- incorrect authentication
- too many images for SMTP Server
- images too large for SMTP Server

Error code:  - SSL_connect returned=1 errno=0 state=SSLv2/v3 read server hello A: unknown protocol
[2019-12-17 00:51:48.786 Tue] [05268:1bfe3ec:9f1a668] [WARN] DYN: CBits::DiskUtil::MountedVolumesAuthority:kill_query_worker: force-killing worker thread

Any ideas?

Kind regards,
dig

Are you sure you have the correct settings for communicating with your SMTP server, specifically the correct port number?

Hi Kirk,

thanks for your quick feedback!
I used the same SMTP settings as with Thunderbird (Port 587 / Port 25 - depending on the mail accout) + tried with different configurations...

As nobody else reported about this problem it may have something to do with my system (i.e. my windows security settings, ...).

Thanks again + I'll keep trying,
