uncontrollable scrolling
« on: February 06, 2020, 11:24:54 AM »
Trying to change a group of labels the "contact" sheet scrolls uncontrollably. Then it goes into a loop and the only way to close the program is a forced eject from my mac. In addtion, all the icons around the image frame, rotation arrows, "i" etc start blinking.

I don't understand what a group of labels is.  Please rephrase.

I have a bunch of images with a color class yellow which needs to be changed to green. Shift-clicking to select a group of images starts all the images scrolling vertically. It is difficult to stop the scrolling and the app also locks up

Could you record a screen capture of the event and post a link to it, please?

It may have been related to my scrolling speed of my mac mighty mouse but I have found two other issues.

1- While in preferences it is set to separate raw and jpeg hat is not the case and I have added screenshots

2- how can I display hierarchical keywords? I use hierarchical keywords so this is important to me. Is there a setting that needs to be changed and if so how do I update the catalog so hierarchial keywords are displayed

We would like to know how to reproduce the problem so that we can fix it.

1- While in preferences it is set to separate raw and jpeg hat is not the case and I have added screenshots.

I expect this to be fixed in the next build.

2- how can I display hierarchical keywords? I use hierarchical keywords so this is important to me. Is there a setting that needs to be changed and if so how do I update the catalog so hierarchial keywords are displayed

The Browse tree should be displaying hierarchical keywords as their own sub-trees.  The Keywords filter should do the same thing.

I will try to do a mov later today.

Regarding keywords, they are coming in a flat-file in both. I have attached screenshots. Is there anything in preferences that need to be changed? In LR I thought they were in a hierarchical tree. For the last year or so, all the keywording has been done in C1.

I attempted to reproduce the scrolling which has been going on for two days but as luck would have it, it will not do it now. If it stars up again, I will then do the move.

Could you post one of your images that you know to have hierarchical keywords in its metadata?  Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your file.  If it has an XMP sidecar file, please post it as well.

Thanks,

I have compressed the image file so maybe it will upload with no success. Is there any other way I can send you the Raw file?

No need.  The XMP file you sent has all that I need.

Thanks,
