Collections and number of images in collections
« on: February 09, 2020, 07:14:40 PM »
A top level Collection can have images as well as sub-collections.  The number of images in the collection is show to the right of the name and show the total number of images in the collection including all sub-collections.

It would be useful to know how many images are in the collection EXCLUDING sub-collections.  What about having the number show the images in the collection and then the number of images in sub-collections shown in parentheses.

E.G.  If Top level has 10 images and there is a single sub-collection with 5 images then the top level would show 10 (5).

+1 and make it an optional setting.

For example, Media Pro gives users the choice to include subsets in the count (in parentheses) or not. ("Catalog Set" is the MP name for a Collection.) MP also allows users to choose whether they want to display a "union" or "intersection" of the selected collections' contents. See attachment. (This is a a drop down menu opened by clicking an icon in the header bar of the Catalog Set panel.)
