Moving 'large' amounts of images

What is the best way to move large amounts of images in PM+?  Moving a few images already in a catalog in the Navigator works fine.  Everything is updated as expected.  I tried moving a folder to a new location in the navigator, and it resulted in 1000 files in my catalog that were 'offline'.  I then had to remove them and re-add the folder in it's new location.

Should I have moved the actual images and not the folder?  Is there some other process I should have used in PM+, or is this just a missing feature as of now?

Moving a folder is supposed to work.  If it isn't then it's a bug that we'll have to fix.  Was the catalog active that contained the folder that you moved?
What OS are you running Photo Mechanic Plus on?

Yes the catalog was active.  I only have one right now.

MacOS 10.14.6 - PM+ build 4666.

Was the folder move from one disk to a different disk, or was the move location on the same disk?
