Firstly, would Camerabits be prepared to implement this feature? and;

Secondly, would it be useful to other users?

Given the current advanced features available, I think this would give PM the ultimate flexibility that I have not seen in ANY other similar product.

I would certainly use it for extracting hierarchical keywords and placing different levels into other IPTC fields.

PM's Find and Replace panel already supports regular expressions.

Oh! I could not find anything in the manual that mentioned regular expressions.

Can I use regular expressions in IPTC fields? I would like to update one field with a regex on another field.

Can I use regular expressions in IPTC fields? I would like to update one field with a regex on another field.

No, only with Find and Replace.
