Is or could it be made possible to change the order of images in a contact sheet by choice - say by dragging an image infront of another to change the order of output like to an HTML gallery?

I don't use the custom order option too often so it merely bothers me with puttink its PMarangefile.dat into picture folders. Is there a way to disable the feature if not willing to use it? If not then I would like to ask for an optional setting for it.
