PM 6 Rainbow Circle with Catalina

Hello! I am running Photo Mechanic Version 6.0, build 4538 (51e5663) on a 16 inch MacBook pro with Catalina v. 10.15.5. When I try to ingest a card, I get the rainbow circle for an extended amount of time. I am wondering if it is gathering sort information? I am sorting by capture time only. Please help!

Does the problem go away if you change the sort type to Filename?
