Ingest limit

Is tehre any limit on the number of files or bytes of data that PM can ingest at once? I am useing PM 4.5 win Windows XP.

No, the only limit would be that you may not have enough space on the destination drive and Ingest would warn you about that.

Are you having an issue with Ingest?

Are you having an issue with Ingest?

I do have a returning ingest issue. If I simply choose to ingest all images from a folder PM progresses for a coupple images and freezes after it. For me it solved the problem to sort the files to ingest into 100 file folders. This way I have no problem during ingest.

The past few times that I have ingested off of a 4GB SD card, PM has ingested about the first 1/2 of the images, then generated error messages on the balance, saying it could not copy them. However, if I look at or copy the files to a folder using Windows Explorer, I have no problem.

This is the first time that I have used these SD cards with more than about 1.7GB of data (all NEF and JPGs).

I'll reformat the cards and try again after my next shoot.

What filesystem format does your card end up being when you format it in your camera?  If it is FAT16 then it will only support 2.0 GB.  FAT32 is required for disks larger than 2.0 GB.

The D80 formats the card as FAT32.
