image resolution is not right
« on: August 30, 2021, 10:13:14 AM »
Hello team,

when I use the image resolution of 1.980 x 1.080 pixel on a picture and save it, there is another image resolution (1.620 x 1.080)

Every image resolution under 1.800 is correct.

Enclosed you can see some screenshots.

Regards, Jürgen

Every image resolution under 1800 is correct.

What is the source image?  If it is a RAW file and the embedded preview is small then it will be no bigger when saved, even if you enter a larger size.

Sony RAW files from the A9 have only 1620x1080 embedded previews, if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the sample file, Jürgen.

The aspect ratio differs between the original image and your desired size.

4999x3333 is roughly 1.5
1920x1080 is 1.7777777...
1620x1080 is 1.5

If you really want a different aspect ratio then set a 16:9 ratio crop on the photo and choose the part of the image you want the most.  You'll have to sacrifice some of the image to get that ratio.  Then when saving, be sure to apply the crop.

Then I expect it to work correctly.

Hello Kirk,

thank you for your fast reply! I didn't think of the 16:9... that was my fault.

Thank you for your help!
