MacOS CMD+1 doesn't rate images
« on: November 09, 2021, 02:06:42 PM »
Hi,

When I click cmd+1 on the keyboard (top row) it does not mark the selection with a star rating of 1. Other keyboard numbers do work, i.e., cmd+2, cmd+3, etc.

The number keypad (right side of keyboard) does work when clicking cmd+1.

What I've tried so far:
  • 2 different keyboards include MacBook Pro built-in one
  • MacOS Big Sur and Monterey
  • Roll back 4 previous versions of Photo Mechanic
While the number keypad works, after 16 years my memory muscle keeps using the keyboard.

I'm expecting that something in the OS or some app/extension you're running is stealing that key sequence from PM.  I tried with the latest build (PM6 6097) on my system (Mac OS Mojave) and it worked fine, though it sets the Color Class (Winner).  I have to press Ctrl-1 to set the Rating.

Hey Kirk,

Of course you're right again.

Display was using Ctrl+1 and to set rating on a group of images Ctrl+1 is the shortcut.

Rather than memory muscle I think it was a brain fart.
