PM+ do not display JPEG preview

Various jpeg images, out of a batch, fail to preview in contact sheet when ingested. Initial check do not indicate any difference between images that do and do not display. All these images were taken with a mobile phone. Any advise?

Please send a sample of one of the problem files.  To do this, first please compress the JPG into a ZIP, and then include the ZIP file in your reply using the "Attachments and other options".

What does a "batch" mean in this scenario? Just a folder of images that you opened as a Contact Sheet?

Do these files open in other applications?

And, yes, batch means "folder"

While that file has a .jpg extension, it is not a JPEG file. It appears to be a webp file, which Photo Mechanic does not currently support. Your file does not open in Adobe Photoshop until the extension is changed to .webp
