Unused metadata fields
« on: November 07, 2022, 02:32:22 PM »
PM displays a lot of metadata fields but many of us use only a selected number of them in our work. It would be great to be able to select which fields are displayed or change the order of displayed fields to avoid having to scroll from top to bottom to see the fields with data or those most frequently used.

Hi markgqs,

In Preferences > Accessibility  there is a "Customize" section that allows you to do exactly that. You can hide, rearrange, change the display name of most of the fields in the IPTC dialogs --  there are separate settings for Metadata (IPTC) Info and Metadata (IPTC) Template, of course, and you can use the "snapshot" icon in the lower left corner to save multiple configurations and switch between them.

Note that in the customization for Metadata (IPTC) Template, there are separate panes for Left side and Right side.  It is not immediately obvious but you can actually click and drag items up and down and even between the panes to move them around.

I hope this helps you.
