Problem opening PM+
« on: November 27, 2022, 01:38:54 AM »
I have PM+ added as a startup item on my Mac Pro (10.14.6). On startup it now often opens with an error that a subsystem failed to initialize. When I OK that I get a dialog saying that catalog features are not enabled. Both dialogs attached.

If I quit and reopen the app all is well so it's not a big deal but would be nice to fix it.

I have sometimes seen this error when trying to launch Photo Mechanic immediately after booting my computer. It sounds like like the OS is trying to launch its startup items before it has completely started up all of its processes, some of which Photo Mechanic relies on to be able to function. I would recommend removing Photo Mechanic as a startup item and letting the operating system fully boot before trying to launch it.

Thanks, that explains it. I've removed PM+ from the startup list and made a hotkey for it instead.
