Upload to Flickr
« on: May 18, 2007, 07:39:04 AM »
The upload to Photoshelter is really cool.  It would be great to do the same to Flickr.  Is this something that can be looked at?

No, it hasn't been done yet and I don't have an ETA for you at this time.

Is this enhancement going to be specific or will you provide a dialog that would allow other providers too like smugmug and pbase?

We already have a template-based uploader which, when scripts are written, could likely support Flickr, and possibly pbase (sorry I don't know if they provide an API for developers to upload files through.)

Can these scripts be written by end users?  Is there any documentation?  :-)

It is possible if you are a software engineering-type.  The current documentation is basically the PhotoShelter and DigitalRailroad uploader templates...

Any updates on this? now that flickr offers unlimited storages and bandwidth usage for $20/year, I've been using it as a simple way to host photos online in a pinch.

We'll try and add more uploaders in the 4.6 version.
