Converting RAW files
« on: August 31, 2007, 07:44:57 AM »
I seem to have a problem converting RAW files. My camera is an S3Pro. I take Raw files and ingest them into PM 4. As Raw files Windows reads them as 24.1Mb. When I try to save them I get the error message "None of the selected photos can be saved at high resolution" and can proceed no further.

Could you tell me what I am doing wrong.

Many thanks.

Photo Mechanic on Windows has no facility for rendering RAW files.  So it cannot perform the task that you have asked it to do.  If you want, you can use the Extract JPEG previews from RAW photos command on the Tools menu to pull out the embedded JPEG previews and save them out as JPEGs.  But that still isn't RAW conversion.

HTH,
