Ingesting folders sequentially

Is there a way to have folders ingest one after another instead of simultaneously? I am working with a COLOR Space unit and trying to ingest a series of folders, but if I list more than 4-5 folders PM hangs.
PM 4.5.3 Windows XP Pro.

What is a "COLOR Space unit?"
When you Ingest Folders, Ingest does ingest them sequentially.

It's a self contained HD  http://www.hypershop.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=46. I'm watching the progress of an ingest going on right now and I can see that there are 6 folders being ingested at the same time. Is there a way to have PM ingests the first folder to completion then next and the next after that?
