sorting by capture time
« on: October 18, 2007, 05:02:43 AM »
When shooting with 2 cameras and loading all images into the same folder - when you sort by "capture time" it still puts them by camera first then by time... any thoughts on getting to merge so no matter that camera they came from the time will be the real sort?

thanks

Are your cameras' clocks perfectly in sync?

no - off by a minute - should they be perfectly matched in time?

That would be the only way that the images would sort together.  You can use the "Adjust Capture Dates and Times" command on the Tools menu to adjust the second camera's photos to be at the same time.  Just select all the photos taken by the second camera, open up the Adjust Capture Dates and Times dialog and then use the Adjust Relative controls to move the time forward or backward by a minute (and likely some seconds too) and then click the Adjust button.

Your images should now all sort together.
