RAM setup
« on: October 29, 2007, 05:44:50 AM »
Hi Kirk

I run a MacBookPro 2.33 Intel Core 2 Duo with 2 GB RAM. I run PM 4.4.3.3 and CS3.
With 500 jps and a open PS, the system slows down.
How would you setup the RAM for both app's to have the best performance.
Or would I increase the speed if I do the Upgrade to 4.5.?

Kind regards

Dominik

I would set Photo Mechanic's RAM cache to 256 MB.  I would set Photoshop's memory usage to 30%.

You don't need to upgrade to 4.5, but there are a lot of new features in 4.5 that are not in 4.4.3.3 that you're missing out on.  You can always demo 4.5 if you want.
