Virtual (or indirect or shortcut) images

As explained in the following article, Bridge has the ability to display and edit "virtual" images.  This would be a nice PM feature.

For Windows users, a virtual image is a Shortcut (like those you have on your desktop).  A Shortcut is not a copy of the file, but rather a pointer to a file.

Let's say you want to put together a 2008 photo calendar.  You could create a calendar project directory and copy all the file you want to include into that directory, but then you would have two copies of each file on your system.  With Shortcuts you could just create a small Shortcut file that points to the original (and only) copy of the file on your PC.  If PM could handle Shortcuts, when you opened the calendar directory with PM it would look just like any other directory, but when you edited the file you would be actually working on the original file.
