What's speed increase with more RAM?
« on: November 22, 2007, 10:22:49 AM »
What's speed increase with PM with more RAM? i.e. Loading images into contact sheet and preview. Mostly 1D MK II and 1Ds RAW.

I have 2Gb in MacBook Pro 2.4HGz but I'm thinking of upgrading to 4GB as the prices are quite low.

Kind regards,

Charles

More RAM is always helpful.  You can give PM a larger Memory Cache which will make scrolling through Contact Sheets faster and when you revisit images in the Preview window they will appear on screen faster.
