Request support for shortcuts to directories
« on: December 18, 2007, 09:38:47 AM »
Hi,

Currently, when I navigate to a folder on my PC, I have to click through a long path eg c:/mycomputer/myphotos/myouttakes/december2007. I would like to have an alias/or shortcut on the desktop for december2007, but I don't see shortcuts in the open dialog box, only real folders.

Is this do-able? or is it already there and I'm just not seeing it.

Thanks much

The Open dialog is Microsoft's dialog.  So I don't know why it wouldn't show them.

But a better way would be to use the Favorites pane from within Photo Mechanic.  You can drag folders in there and it will allow you to navigate a far shorter path.
