XMP sidecar to JPGs
« on: January 26, 2008, 06:50:37 PM »
Is there a way to get PM to generate sidecar files for JPG images?

I would like to use them to transfer IPTC and XMP settings from one machine to the other (JPG to JPG) like synchronizing.
Working on Mac, OSX, iOS and with some Canons.
Allways shooting RAW.

No.  XMP is only supposed to be embedded into JPEG files.  If you have the same images on both machines, why not just copy the JPEGs from one machine to the other?

We are working with quite a lot of JPGs and would like to minimize data transfer and since only those settings will change PM can edit this seemed solution.
